I wonder if you have read Paul Rainbow's "the way of salvation"? His discussion of salvation would certainly interact with the subject matter of trsbu. I posted some info on Rainbow's book on my blog:
If I wanted to teach through "The Race Set before us" am I on my own to create materials or is there anything that would help me create lessons on a teaching on perseverance and assurance from this book?
Unfortunately, you would be on your own. There is a possibility that I could put you in touch with someone that I know who taught through The Race Set Before Us. He might be willing to share his materials with you. It's worth a try.
Send me a note at abcaneday@gmail.com, and I will try to put you in touch with my friend.
I have been buried with work and projects, but someday I hope to put together some material for teaching through the book.

Got a "Special Edition 10th Printing Preface" ready? =)
ReplyDeleteMy preaching pastor's sermon for tomorrow is titled "Think Biblically About Assurance" from Heb. 10:32-39.
Congrats to you and Tom both!

Rick,
ReplyDeleteYes, I have the book and have read much of it. His thoughts intersect very much with mine, as you rightly point out.
I'm sorry that I've been so inactive on my blog. I am teach a heavy overload this semester. It has buried me with work.
